WAN&WAY

Philosophy Wan&Way

The philosophy of WAN&WAY does not offer ready-made answers. It opens a space for observation, choice and action.

The seed does not determine what kind of tree will grow. It gives growth a chance to happen.

Observation

Explore this direction ↗
01

Must we understand what is happening in order to notice it?

“An observer does not need to know what an event means in order to notice accurately that it happened.”
02

What happens when we define what we see too soon?

“When you do not interpret it, you will discover its meaning only later. But once you have interpreted it, your interpretation will close your eyes to seeing.”
03

Does everything we notice require our intervention?

“Seeing is not yet a reason to intervene. Understanding is not yet a command to act. Being able to act is not yet a necessity to act.”
02 / 18

Pause and Choice

Explore this direction ↗
01

What might change if there is a pause between feeling and acting?

“A pause allows you to choose again.”
02

Must we make a decision right now?

“Among all possible actions, there remains a space in which a person is free not to choose.”
03

Must a pause necessarily lead to something?

“A pause creates nothing. It leaves room for what may appear without our demanding that it appear.”
03 / 18

What Is Happening

Explore this direction ↗
01

What is the “I”?

“The I is a point in the space of what is happening that manifests itself through the function of its action.”
02

Does a person have a soul?

“The soul does not answer the question of whether it exists or not. It is a process. A process that either takes place and participates in actions, or does not take place. And this process is determined by a person's state.”
03

Can we participate in what is happening without trying to hold on to it?

“You can participate. Participation is possible. It is an action. But you cannot hold on to it. You cannot touch it.”
04

Do we live what happens, or our idea of it?

“This canvas can probably be called life. Because until then it is hard to call what you do only in your head life.”
04 / 18

Will

Explore this direction ↗
01

What if will is not about overcoming, but something else?

“Will is your agreement with what is happening.”
02

Can you exercise will without forcing yourself to act?

“You have a choice. Continue like this. Or stop.”
03

Does will always need a predetermined goal?

“The moment you set such a goal—that is it, there is no observer. You are an interested party.”
05 / 18

Responsibility

Explore this direction ↗
01

What does it mean to be responsible for what happens?

“Responsibility is much easier to understand through the word “response”: how you respond to what is happening.”
02

Does understanding always require intervention?

“Seeing is not yet a reason to intervene. Understanding is not yet a command to act. Being able to act is not yet a necessity to act.”
03

Can you be there without deciding for someone else?

“One form of true presence is precisely not taking away the other person's next step.”
06 / 18

Emotion

Explore this direction ↗
01

What can an emerging emotion tell us?

“Emotion. It is your teacher.”
02

Is our reaction always only about what is happening now?

“Emotion shows where a choice has already been made before.”
03

What can your own reaction show you?

“Any reaction is a very good clue that you are outside what is happening. Just return.”
04

Do your feelings tell you what another person is like?

“The main thing is that a feeling will not tell me what kind of person someone is, or what and why they do something. Because those feelings tell you nothing. They flow within.”
07 / 18

Presence

Explore this direction ↗
01

Can you be near someone without intervening?

“In a state of silence, you do not intervene; you extend your hand.”
02

What does it mean to be present beside another person?

“They give each other the possibility to happen and participate in what is happening—each according to their own functionality.”
03

Does helping necessarily mean doing something for someone else?

“One form of true presence is precisely not taking away the other person's next step.”
08 / 18

The Person and the Other

Explore this direction ↗
01

Whom do we see in another person—the person, or an image we have created?

“I invented a script and assigned the roles. And the alternative is: I am in a state, in what is happening.”
02

Can we meet someone without deciding in advance what they are like?

“I observe the person. And what is happening. And within me an action either arises, directed towards and somehow connected with them, or it does not arise.”
03

What changes when we stop demanding that others match our idea of them?

“I did not forgive; I simply parted with the “what they are like” in my head.”
09 / 18

Partnership

Explore this direction ↗
01

Must we be alike in order to be together?

“You exist for yourself in your own manifestation. I exist for myself in mine. And we come together not because we become alike, but because we can be present in the same happening.”
02

What can arise from the difference between our possibilities?

“The difference between our possibilities, coming together in what is happening, increases not the amount done—it increases the fruitfulness of the next steps.”
03

What allows a partnership to continue?

“Partnership continues—and becomes the foundation of transition.”
10 / 18

Trust

Explore this direction ↗
01

Must we decide in advance whether we trust someone?

“There is no concept of “I trust” or “I do not trust.” I observe the person. And what is happening. And within me an action either arises, somehow directed towards and connected with them, or it does not.”
02

What happens when we start defining what kind of person is before us?

“I can say with certainty: you lose the role of observer and make a judgement of “what kind?” That is the mistake. Then you will make mistaken decisions, while seemingly observing the action.”
03

Can we remain open to a person without forming an image of them beforehand?

“If you want to see, you return to them. If you want to hear, you return to them. Any preconceived image means no longer seeing or hearing (and this is not the same as having sight and hearing).”
11 / 18

Action

Explore this direction ↗
01

Does action always begin with a decision made beforehand?

“A person stays close to what is happening long enough for an action to be born rather than thrown out by a reaction.”
02

Can action arise without coercion?

“That's it!!!! What is born inside will certainly become action outside.”
03

Does the absence of visible action necessarily mean that nothing is happening?

“That is why there is no such thing as doing nothing.”
12 / 18

The Path

Explore this direction ↗
01

Must you know the whole path before taking a step?

“The thing is, the unknown does not exist. There is a step that reveals the path. And “unknown” is just a word.”
02

What matters more—reaching a goal or keeping your direction?

“A goal demands achievement. A point of orientation lets you keep your direction.”
03

Can one step reveal what could not be seen before?

“We are speaking of steps being born that reveal our path to us.”
13 / 18

Boundaries

Explore this direction ↗
01

Does expanding our possibilities always mean moving beyond the familiar?

“You can expand the space within a fence endlessly and mistake it for movement without boundaries.”
02

Must we destroy a boundary to move beyond it?

“To be without a fence, you do not necessarily have to destroy it. Sometimes it is enough to stop maintaining it.”
03

Can a familiar explanation limit what we are able to see?

“We do not discard the existing description—we temporarily deprive it of the right to decide what we are allowed to see.”
04

Can a question itself limit what we are able to see?

“The irregularity may lie in the word with which we have already named what we are about to examine.”
14 / 18

Possibility

Explore this direction ↗
01

Must every possibility necessarily become an action?

“Seeing is not yet a reason to intervene. Understanding is not yet a command to act. Being able to act is not yet a necessity to act.”
02

Must we possess everything we will need on the path in advance?

“The foundation must make the next step possible, rather than trying to contain the entire future path in advance.”
03

Can one person's possibilities open up another person's possibilities?

“By opening up their own possibilities, people give us possibilities to open up ours.”
15 / 18

Tool

Explore this direction ↗
01

Who decides the next step—the person or the tool?

“The tool is beside you. The choice remains with the person.”
02

Where does the tool's help end and the person's own action begin?

“A tool ends where its action becomes the person's own action.”
03

Should a tool explain to a person what is happening within them?

“Do not explain to a person what is happening inside them. Create a space in which they can notice it themselves.”
04

What if the purpose of a tool is not to give ready-made answers, but to open possibilities?

“We are not creating a form to explain Wan&Way to a person. We are seeking a form in which they can see something for themselves.”
16 / 18

Resonance

Explore this direction ↗
01

Must a connection be created before it can manifest?

“Human=Antenna should not invent how we are to sound. It should allow what is already sounding to be heard.”
02

Where does a connection manifest?

“A connection manifests when, out of their difference, the next state of what is happening is born.”
03

Must we know in advance how a connection should manifest?

“Not to prove a connection. Not to deny a connection. To create conditions in which what is happening can leave a measurable trace.”
17 / 18

Silence

Explore this direction ↗
01

Can we hear silence without trying to define it?

“You truly hear silence only through silence, without a definition.”
02

Where does what words cannot convey resonate?

“Not the words in sentences, but the pauses between words. The music of silence always sounds in them. That is how the Universe speaks to us—not in words, but in pauses between words.”
03

Can we learn to notice what arises between words?

“That was when I started listening to the pauses, and then I began learning from them.”
18 / 18

The Unknown

Explore this direction ↗
01

What if the unknown begins where our definitions end?

“Not to seek the unknown for us, but to prevent the known from prematurely defining the limits of what can be observed.”
02

Must we reject what we already know to see something new?

“Not to question existing knowledge. To create conditions in which it can itself encounter something it has never asked about before.”
03

Can we hear an answer before learning to understand the language of what is happening?

“Before questioning an object, try observing it long enough to begin distinguishing the language of its change. Do not force it to answer our question. First learn to notice how it answers at all.”

EXIT–EXIST · RESONANCE

What has been completed need not become the boundary of what is possible.

EXIST preserves what has been achieved. EXIT opens the next step. RESONANCE makes it possible to notice what has not yet appeared.

Something new does not require destroying what came before. It may arise through interaction, observation and testing.

WAN&WAY creates a space for the person, EXIT–EXIST explores the possibility of the continued development of a form and its functional manifestation, and RESONANCE the possibility of discovering what has not yet been noticed.
